I tell all of my clients when I meet with them that I highly value engagement sessions.
Not only do they give us a chance to get to know each other, and put my clients at ease on their wedding day, they provide an opportunity to get real, meaningful photos that actually represent their lives right now, someplace they love doing something they love.
Mark and Melissa were originally thinking of doing their engagementsession somewhere pretty in Victoria, but they just couldn’t find somewhere that meant to them what Ucluele does.
Melissa’s dad recently finished hand building a second home for their family up there, and despite the distance they’re up on the beautiful west coast of Vancouver Island at least once a month.
So we made the arrangements for their engagement session to happen up in Ucluelet, and I’m so glad we did.

We had incredible weather, and spent the afternoon hiking the trails and the beaches, climbing over rocks, and roasting marshmallows over a wood fire on the beach.
One of my favorite engagement sessions I’ve done, I hope you enjoy some of my favorites Photography.
